Yes, depending on your immigration status and study history. Malaysia’s immigration regulations allow certain students to apply, while restricting others:
I. Students who currently hold a valid student visa from a Malaysian higher institution
If you are currently studying at a university or college in Malaysia and already hold a valid student visa, you may apply to study a language program at ILC with a student visa. This is permitted because you have not yet completed your higher education program.
II. Students who have already graduated from a Malaysian higher institution
Students who have completed their degree or diploma program in Malaysia cannot obtain a new student visa to study in a language school. Immigration views this as a visa downgrade, which is not allowed.
This restriction applies only to students who require a student visa.
III. Students transferring from another language centre
If you have studied up to 1 year at another language centre in Malaysia, you may apply to study for an additional year at ILC.
However, if you have studied more than 1 year at another language centre, immigration will not allow you to continue language studies on a new student visa.
IV. Students who do not require a student visa
International students who are already in Malaysia and do not require a student visa (e.g., dependents, workers, long-term pass holders) may study at ILC without any time limit.
Yes. ILC provides full support for international students who require a Malaysian student visa. Our team assists with document verification, submission guidance, medical insurance requirements, and continuous updates throughout the processing period.
All visa applications are submitted through Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS). Students only need to provide the required documents to ILC, and we will manage the entire application process on their behalf.
Once the visa is approved, we will send the Visa Approval Letter (VAL) to the student, or the student may download the e-VAL directly from the EMGS website using this link:
