About the Position
Teach General English to local and international students in an engaging, supportive learning environment. The successful candidate will plan effective lessons, monitor student progress, and help learners build confidence and achieve their language goals.Main Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging General English lessons aligned with the ILC curriculum.
- Teach speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
- Assess students’ language levels and monitor their academic progress.
- Prepare lesson materials, classroom activities, assignments and assessments.
- Provide constructive feedback and additional support to students.
- Maintain accurate attendance, assessment and progress records.
- Create a positive, inclusive and student-centred learning environment.
- Participate in academic meetings, training and school activities.
- Follow ILC’s academic policies, teaching standards and professional guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in TESL, TEFL, English, Linguistics, Education or a related field.
- A recognised English-language teaching qualification, such as CELTA, TESOL or TEFL.
- Minimum of one year of experience teaching General English.
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
- Good communication, classroom-management and organisational skills.
- Ability to teach students from diverse cultural and language backgrounds.
- Basic digital skills for teaching, lesson preparation and student record-keeping.
Experience Requirements
- Experience teaching speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
- Experience teaching students from diverse cultural and language backgrounds.
- Familiarity with CEFR-aligned lesson planning, assessment and progress reporting.
- Experience teaching international students and mixed-ability classes is preferred.
